Marienhöhe Academy is a state recognized private school run by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. From its beginning, the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church has been actively engaged in the welfare of mankind. In addition to its Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and healthcare system, the denomination also has a strong education network that ranges from kindergarten to university levels. One of its renowned universities in the German speaking areas is the Adventist Theological University at Friedensau, which is near Magdeburg. 

Marienhöhe Academy accepts all applicants who meet the formal admissions requirements, irrespective of their religious beliefs, world view or political convictions, provided that they are willing to abide by the rules of the school and align themselves with the school community.
